I heard a statistic that 86% of buyers have a short list of companies in mind before they buy. In other words, they have a bias toward a few businesses that they want to work with at the very onset of their buying journey. I take that statistic to heart because my goal is to consistently be on my prospects’ lists before they contact me.  


And I believe there are a few things about Evo Communications that set me apart from my competition and thus helps me reach that goal. 


Deep bench of pre-vetted talent 

First, I know I am only as good as the people I present to the client who will do the work. That’s why I spend so much time curating a deep bench of corporate communications professionals with pertinent experience and expertise in variety of disciplines.  


And, I built a proprietary technology solution to house information on every consultant with their profile and key details. That way, I can gather their information and present them to the client quickly and efficiently.  


This is important because oftentimes, my prospects don’t have the time to wait for candidates to get sourced; they needed someone yesterday! With my processes and systems, I am able to present the client precisely the candidates they need when they need them.

I call myself “chief matchmaker” because that’s what I do. I match the needs of my clients with the talents of consultants within my network.

Let’s say you’re the head of corporate communications at your company and need someone to temporarily help with a timely communications project.

You call me and tell me what you need and why. I ask you a few questions, gather a bit more information and I tell you I’ll come back with three qualified and vetted candidates for you to interview for the role.  We hang up, you go about your day, and I get to work. 


First, I create the role and job description, based on our conversation, and then begin contacting candidates within my network who fit your needs, confirming both their interest and availability for the role.  


Once I have the three candidates, I present them to you. Then you have the hard part: you need to choose just one.  


It’s important to note that at this point, I haven’t invoiced you, and no money has changed hands. I assume all the risk because that’s how confident I am in the talent I present to you. I succeed when you choose to work with Evo Communications.  

 

Walk the talk  

Unlike corporate recruiters who work in a variety of fields, my focus is solely on corporate communications. That’s because I come from the corporate communications world and understand the challenges corp comms leaders face.  


Before launching Evo Communications, I spent a lot of time looking for temporary help for my corporate communications teams. I understand the nuances of finding someone with specific talents for a specific role, and I experienced the challenges that came with that. As a result, I not only talk the talk, but also walk the walk.
